Yes, there are a few ways to create a photo gallery with InDesign and in5 that work somewhat like slick slider. You can add InDesign animations to the images on the object states in the first two options or Custom Slide Transitions in the third option.

  1. Use Image Sequence

    • Put your images in a folder

    • Draw a frame

    • Go to in5 > Interactive Widgets > Image Sequence

    • In the Image Sequence dialog, navigate to your images

    • Enable Auto Play

    • You can disable Tap and Swipe (if you want to use those, select one or the other)

    • Select Loop if you'd like them to loop

  2. Create a multi-state object (MSO) and use it to make a slideshow

    • Place your images on the page

    • Select them

    • In the Object States panel (Window > Interactive > Object States), click the "+" button to convert selection to a multi-state object

    • Go to in5 > Interactive Widgets > Slideshow

    • Select desired options in the Slideshow dialog (again, use either Tap or Swipe but not both)

  3. Make one InDesign document the slideshow to embed in another InDesign document using the in5 Web Content interactive widget.

    • Create the InDesign document for your photos

    • Place your images

    • Add Presentation Mode (in5 > Enhancements > Presentation Mode), if desired

    • Add Custom Slide transitions (in5 > Enhancements > Presentation Mode), if desired

    • Export the slides using one of the Slider Page Formats (with Enable Swipe Navigation and Show Back/Next Arrows selected, if desired) in the Basic section of the Export HTML5 with in5 dialog (in5 > Export HTML5 with in5...)

    • Create the InDesign document to contain the slides

    • Draw a frame on the page

    • Go to in5 > Interactive Widgets > Web Content

    • Below URL or File, navigate to the index.html file that you exported for the slides

    • Export this new document with in5 in any Page Format
